Our Services

Design Advice

With our specialist knowledge we are able to give advice on the suitability of cornices and other mouldings, to suit the age and ceiling height of the property. We work closely together with many architects and designers to provide a cohesive scheme.

Period Cornices

In our catalogue you will find a large selection of Georgian and Victorian cornices, many of these designs have been taken from cornices matched to existing ones on Listed Buildings

Ceiling Centres

As well as our standard range, we have several multi-part Georgian design ceiling centres and many can be adapted to the size of the ceiling.

Panel Mouldings

We regularly design panel moulding schemes for clients' properties which may have panel moulding above or below a dado rail, or both.

Dado Rails

Historically, a dado rail was commonly used from the Georgian era to protect the wall coverings from damage caused by the back of chairs.

Ceiling Bands

Plain and enriched sections are available. These are commonly used to create interest on the ceiling and would be set in from the cornice approximately 15cm – 40cm.

Archways and corbel

All are made to order as the span, the width of the arch and the rise of the arch from the springing line to the crown are never the same.

Pilasters

Pilasters are made specially to order, and are either of fluited or recessed panel section, and can be made in hardened plaster. They;re used principally to be the apparent support for archways.
